At Sonova, we take security and protection of your personal information very seriously. Please be aware that individuals might approach you by falsely presenting themselves as Sonova employees or representatives. Under this false pretense, these individuals might try to gain access to your personal information or to acquire money from you by offering false employment opportunities on our behalf.

Sonova will never ask for financial information of any kind or for payment of money during the job application process. We do not require any financial, credit card or bank account information and/or any payment of any kind to be considered for employment. If you are being asked to pay for equipment fees or some other deposit or application processing fee, even if claimed you will be reimbursed, you are not interacting with Sonova. These requests are fraudulent, and you are strongly advised to exercise caution when you receive such an offer of employment.

The offer or claim will probably be in the form of an email sent from a fake email address or from Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, etc., and not from an official Sonova email address. Please take extra caution while examining such an email address, as the scammers may misspell an official Sonova email address and use a slightly modified version duplicating or omitting letters. Sonova will not be held liable or responsible for any claims, losses, damages or expenses resulting from the scammers. If you believe you are the victim of fraud resulting from a job listing, please contact your local authorities.

If you believe you are the victim of fraud resulting from a job listing, you could contact local authorities, your state’s Attorney General, the Federal Trade Commission, or the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.
