Do you feel safe reporting potential non-compliance behavior in your company? At Sonova we encourage our employees to speak up if they see or are the subject of a potential Code of Conduct violation. Providing an ethics and compliance hotline is an effective channel for facilitating confidential reporting on instances of inappropriate behavior.
“In the past five years, Speak ups have more than tripled. We treat all reports on possible violations according to the same defined process, regardless of whether they fall under the directive or not. And on our internal dashboards, we transparently show how many cases have been brought to our attention, how many have been resolved and which business areas they come from. This approach ties into our values and culture and is testament that there is trust in us and the Speak up process,” says Deepa Vijayan BA, LLB, ML, M.Sc, CIPP-E, CIPM, CFE , Global Head of Compliance and Data Privacy.
At Sonova, we are committed to promptly addressing any complaints. Reported cases related to topics such as workplace civility, diversity & inclusion, discrimination or harassment, business integrity and others. In the past business year, 44% of the complaints were substantiated. Misbehavior draws consequences – actions taken ranged from verbal or written warnings up to termination of employment.
This is just one of multiple actions that ensure we are living up to our commitment to integrity. Find out more in our ESG report: https://lnkd.in/eN9gk57T
