"I was born with normal hearing, but it began to slowly decline when I was around 9 years old. Fast forward and I got my first implant 2017, at the age of 45 -- the AB NaídaQ70. Early 2023, I got my second implant and was upgraded to Marvel CI on both ears. I did not actively chose AB on purpose. In Sweden it is a bit different, but one of my brothers got an implant roughly 1 year before me and he was very satisfied with his Naída Q70. So I asked the surgeon if I could chose the same one. I never regretted that choice.
Having a
#cochlearimplant has impacted me in an extremely positive way! I can talk in phone again, which wasn't possible at all the last years before my first implant. My "normal me" is back on track again, meaning that the normal extrovert Robert is back. :-) If it wasn't for my precious implants, I'd never got the chance to live and work abroad. I've lived in North Carolina since 2023. And most importantly; I can listen to music again, which I do a lot🥰
