Sonova wins Swiss innovation ranking

Stäfa (Switzerland), September 29, 2025 – For the second consecutive year, Sonova is number one among SMI companies* in the annual innovation ranking compiled by business magazines Bilanz and PME together with the market and opinion research company Statista.

This is Sonova’s second recognition this year after achieving 12th place out of 300 in the ranking of Europe’s Most Innovative Companies compiled by Fortune magazine together with Statista in June 2025.

“We are pleased to be recognized for our innovative power once more,” says Eric Bernard, Sonova CEO. “For close to eight decades now, Sonova has been at the forefront of innovation in the hearing care industry, driving one breakthrough after another, improving the quality of life for people with hearing loss. We are especially proud of our latest industry-leading innovation, Phonak Audéo Sphere Infinio. It is the first and most powerful hearing aid platform using real-time AI to significantly improve the greatest challenge for people with hearing loss - understanding speech in noise.”

Following the introduction of two new hearing aid platforms of 2024, Sonova launched its first and smallest in-the-ear hearing aid, Phonak Virto R Infinio, in summer 2025. Virto R Infinio integrates Sonova’s advanced Infinio technology with its exceptional speech performance, along with market-leading universal connectivity features and a significant reduction in size.
